Electron plastic is MVP's high tech baseline material. It has tactile boutique blends for superb grip. It was designed to wear slowly with use. It provides added glide and neutral flight with wear. And it's also available in soft flexibility for putters. Introduced in Jan 2015.
Proton plastic is produced with some of the most durable plastics in the industry to withstand some of the roughest conditions. It has immense abrasion resistance from impact and as a result very slow wear, giving it a very long life. It is produced with bright, vivid transparent colors. A key aspect as to why proton plastic has such great clarity and durability is because the central core is not contaminated with any weighting agents unlike most conventional golf discs. The weight products are placed in the outer ring to enhance MVP's GYRO™ Technology and maintain polymer purity in the central core so that the beautiful colors are always vivid and clear. It is available in Soft flexibility for putters.
Eclipse™ Glow Proton - discs with a glow-in-the-dark outer ring for those who play night golf. The benefit of the design used in MVP's GYRO™ Technology is that they can heavily concentrate the brightest glow phosphors in the overmold, thereby making them the brightest and longest lasting glow discs. In addition to this, MVP's glow discs have a color choice in the central core, an option not offered on conventional glow golf discs. MVP Eclipse™ Glow products are available in the same durable, vivid Proton plastic encompassed by a bright white outer ring that glows in the dark.
Neutron plastic, MVP's most premium material, offers a premium look and feel while maintaining the excellent durability of Proton plastic. This unique blend comes in the widest variety of bright opaque easy-to-spot in any terrain neon colors. Neutron is your go-to polymer for continued, reliable performance in all conditions.
Fission plastic uses Fission™ Microbubble Technology. It produces an ultra-light Neutron core with evenly distributed and imperceptible weight reducing microbubbles. The result is an even higher GYRO™ overmold density relative to the core and lighter weight classes, 155g to 165g and improved durability. MVP says, "This produces an entirely new type of lightweight disc never before seen in the sport, and beyond the capability of any other manufacturer. Weight distribution, stability, and durability of prior “bubble” discs are all improved upon by Fission. Skeptics of prior light or bubble plastics are in for a surprise, as Fission brings advanced disc physics and true high-tech molding into the lightweight plastics arena."
Plasma plastic is an advanced disc golf polymer. Players have raved about the added glide of the mildly domed Plasma material, as well as its excellent grip, flex, and visual appeal. It's a highly durable premium blend, a semi-gummy, grippy flex polymer. It features a metallic sheen on the core plastic, and “Color-shift” tones in select color options. Plasma was introduced in Feb 2015; however, development began in 2013. Throughout 2014 small numbers of metallic discs were released within regular production Neutron shipments. Prototype Plasma was seen in the “metallic” Neutron Envy, Crave, Switch, Tesla, Volt, and Icon mini. Plasma will never again be seen with a Neutron stamp.
