Kastaplast

Disc golf is an amazing way of living, which is why Kastaplast is up to the challenge of exploring, designing and developing products that won’t let you down. Kastaplast is a disc manufacturer based in Stockholm, with the aim to create discs and gear of highest quality.

The brand is dedicated to the disc golf culture, the people, the lifestyle and all the fun times all around the disc golf world. They look at disc golf as a grassroot movement with its own unique identity; characterized by spontaneity, individuality and freedom.

Starting off in 2011 as a small prototyping workshop, driven by the fun factor of experimenting, the business soon grew out of the basement as Jonas Lindberg was joined by Anders Källström and Per Jonson. Still, the “workshop style” of developing discs has stayed, with a mix of computer flight simulation, research and extensive prototyping.

Kastaplast translates “throw plastic,” which is what we all love to do. Let’s Kastaplast!

Kastaplast is determined to keep the ecological footprint as low as possible. One step in this direction is the use of renewable resources to empower a major part of their production. Recycling is another. Moving in the direction of sustainability is important to them and it is an ongoing process.

It’s a long journey and it has just started.

Kastaplast offers the following lines of plastic for disc golf:

K1 - super durable - nice combination of firmness and gumminess - both solid and translucent colors
K1 Soft - very durable - more flexibility and more grippy - both solid and translucent colors
K3 - base line plastic - grippy in all conditions - worked-in feel pretty quickly - medium soft compared to other brands’ base plastics
K3 Hard - stiffer version of K3 - the firmness makes this line more durable than the original K3, giving it a slower aging process
K1 Glow - same super durable plastic as K1 - powered with glow!
