This is a list of disc golf discs that Discraft considers 'Amateur Skill Level' discs. Discraft doesn't call them 'Beginner' discs because although they are great for beginner and the easiest to learn, they are used by top pro players as well. They have Stability Ratings of -1.0 to +0.5 which means they are considered Understable, Stable or Slightly Overstable.

Starting with a light weight, understable, Pro-D, mid range driver or multi-purpose disc golf disc is recommended for new players. A lighter disc doesn't have as strong of a tendency to curve left or right. Understable discs are the most beginner friendly. They have a tendency to turn right when thrown flat, straight and with average power for right handed back hand (RHBH) throws. It's just the opposite for lefties. Avoid overstable discs until you gain some experience. As you gain experience, you'll want to move on to drivers. See more about Beginner Information. Find more helpful info on these links:
