Mid range drivers are thicker than distance drivers, but not as thick as putt and approach discs. The edges or profiles of mid range drivers are less sharp than distance drivers. They don't fly as fast but they are easier to control than longer range drivers and that is why they are recommend for beginners. Mid range drivers make great multi-purpose discs which means you can play the entire course with just one disc!

DGA offers high quality predictable mid-range drivers with Speed ratings of about 4 - 6.
